CLAUDE L. VAN DYKE, NEAR LINNEUS, DIES Claude Lewis Van Dyke, 68, died about noon yesterday at his farm home six miles west of Linneus. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Church of Christ at Mead- Mead- ville. Burial Will be in the Ogan cemetery, north of Meadvllle. Until the hour of the service, the body will lie in state at the Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Van Dyke was a son of John and Susan CLay) Van Dyke and was born Sept. 8, 1889, at Buckner, He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie (Salisbury} Van Dyke, whom he married Sept. 6. 1911; five sons, Russell Van Dyke, Marceline; Ed win Van Dyke, Meadvllle; Earl Van Dyke, Browning; Claude L. Van Dyke, Jr., Iinneui, and Vivian Van Dyke, U. S. Army, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Fran ces Frlcker, Cocoa, Fla and Mrs. Dorothy Kirby and Mrs. Ruby Her ring, both of Llnneus; a brother. D. W. Van Dyke, Hammond, Ind. two listers, Mrs. Ralph Acree, In dependence, Mo., and Mrs. John Kennedy, Chillicothe; 15 grand children and two great-grandchil great-grandchil great-grandchil dren. He was preceded to death by a brother.
