j j : i THIEF AT FOSTER HOME. Took Bunch of Valuables from Sonth Hammond Family Last ' Week. J The many friends of the Nicholas Foster family, formerly of Huntington, Huntington, now of South Hammond, will be sorry to hear of the loss they suffered through burglars. A young man, whom Mrs. Foster, befriended some two weeks ago, took French leave Wednesday, Wednesday, relieving the family of about $100 worth of valuables clothing and miscellaneous miscellaneous articles. Among - the valuables valuables taken was a gold watch chain and charm belonging to Herman Foster, Foster, a son; a set of silver knives and forks, the property of the daughter stopping with them; a locket; a pair of $5 trousers, the property of Orval Foster, a roommate of the miscreant, and also other clothes valued at about $10. The young man was captured at Standard Steel Saturday night and taken before the justice, where he was given - a proper hearing, 1)ound over to a higher court in the sum ot $900. He, waa taken to Crown Point, where he will await his trial. It is believed the young nan is an .experienced sneak thief, - appearing to be about twenty - three years old.
