- - announcement and offering, BROTHERS FOUGHT WITH member WILD WEST DIVISION i' ing In over ss Railway Andrew Haggerty has arrived home and Patrick Haggerty Is at Camp Upton, awaiting discharge, both boys arriving in this country a short time ago. after being overseas with the 91st. "Wild West - ' division, made up of troops from California, Oregon and Washington. They are sons of Mrs. P. Haggerty, of South Grant avenue. The division recently became known for its large number of war cross winners, having 150 Distinguished Service Crosses, 101 French Croix de Guerre. 150 Belgian Croi do Guerre and 5 Congressional Medals. Com pany F of the 31Gth Knginecrs had 31 decorated men, 12 being decorated for distinguished service, these being the men that were first to enter the town of Andenard. Belgium, where In a house - to - house fight they killed fourteen fourteen Germans and withdrew without losing a man and brought back thirty - five prisoners. Both Haggerty boys came through without a mishap, although the division division . lost 1.400 killed and 5.400 wounded which goes to show that they did some real fighting. It was because of these losses that the Haggerty Haggerty brothers were placed In the division division Immediately after their arrival overseas.
