Mrs. Susan Kennedy, age seventy - seven, died Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock' at . the Kennedy home, two miles north of Huntington on the Goshen road. Mrs. Kennedy had been ill one year .and was confined to her bed during the last, four weeks. Funeral services will be held Thurs day afternoon at 4 o'clock In the residence. Burial will be In People's cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy was born January 1, 1836, in Mercer county, Ohio, and removed to Huntington a number of years later. The farm north of Hun tlngton was the home of Mrs. Ken nedy during many years. Numerous residents of the district north of Hun tlngton were friendB and acqualn tances of the elderly woman. Surviving are seven children. Three of the children were born to the first marriage of Mrs. Kennedy to Samuel Custard, while the remaining four liv ing children were born to the union of Mrs. Custard and Harrison Ken nedy. , The children of the first marriage are Mrs. George Shroyer ami Mrs, Samuel Smith, of MIshawaka. and Alonza Custard, of Huntington - . Other sons and daughters are Mor gan Kennedy, living in the home stead; Mrs. Elmer Pressel, and Charles and Arwell Kennedy, of Hun tlngton. Both Mr. Custard and Mr. Kennedy are deceased.
