Time to Cook Brussels Sprouts With fresh Brussels sprouts at (heir most succulent best right now, it's time to remember this popular member of the cabbage family for Sunday dinners. Plain butter and seasonings art the usual seasoners, of course. Sprouts become company fare however, when dressed with a combination of butter and blue cheese according to Mr. K. L. King, manager of Beatrice Foods Company, Meadow Gold Dairy Products. The simple recipe was devised by Beatrice Cooke, director of the Meadow Gold test kitchens in Chicago for those occasions when you want something really special special in the vegetable category. Brussels Sprouts Deluxe (Six servings) 2 quarts of fresh Brussels sprouts or 2 10-ounce 10-ounce 10-ounce frozen packages, unthawed cup butter 1 teaspoon salt k teaspoon basil 4 cup crumbled blue cheese U teaspoon fresh ground pepper pepper Trim Brussels sprouts. Cover and let stand in ice water for 15 minntrs- minntrs- drain. Melt butter in saucepan; add sprouts, salt and basil, cover; cook over iow neai until tender. Add blue cheese and pepper. Heat until cheese just meits. BUY AT HOME AND SAVE
