FUNERAL NOTICES LENORD (LENNY) ORNBAUN Lenord (Lenny) Ornbaun, beloved husband, husband, father, son, brother, and son-in-law, age 39, died suddenly on Saturday, September 24 at his home in Ukiah. Len was born in 1966, raised in Ukiah, and graduated from Ukiah High School, class of '84. Lenord worked.at various jobs in Ukiah Valley, including Hogue Equipment as an equipment mechanic, Ukiah Machine & Welding as a machinist, and Canadian Aeronautical and Electrical (CAE) as the Production Warehouse Manager. After the closure of CAE, Lenord entered the medical field, completing training and proudly getting his License as a Vocational Nurse in 2005, with plans to pursue an RN degree. Lenord began his nursing career at the Valley View Skilled Nursing Facility here in Ukiah. Although Len had recently embarked on his new career, he cared greatly for his patients and was faithfully devoted to his work which was evidenced by the tender care he gave to all whom he served. He was a life long sportsman sportsman who played baseball and softball, was an avid golfer, a member of the Ukiah Elk's Lodge and loved hunting and being with his family and friends. Lenord fell in love with and married Shelli McKenzie in 1994. They started their family a year later with daughter Sara, followed by Megan, and then William (Liam). He was a loving father and husband. husband. Lenard is survived by his wife Shelli, daughters Sara and Megan, son Liam, father William "Bill" and his wife Patty Ornbaun, sisters sisters Karen (Mike) Strong of Ft. Worth, TX, Kathy (Dan)' Dixon of Winnemucca, NV, Kay (Herb) Brockett of Ukiah and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Ornbaun. Visitation will be held at Eversole Mortuary on Thursday, September 29 from 4:00 until 5:00 PM. After visitation, we'll all gather at the Elk's Lodge, 1100 Hastings Road for a celebration of Lenord's Me. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the "Len Ornbaun Children's College Fund" at Mendo-Lake Credit Union. JERRY DONALD DRAKE A Memorial Mass for Jerry Donald Drake of Forestville will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 10 am at St. Sebastian's Parish 7983 Covert Lane in Sebastopol, Monsignor Hynes officiating. Jerry passed away on Thursday, September 22,2005 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Born April 8, 1947 in Urania, Louisiana, he graduated graduated from Ukiah High School in 1965. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Viet Nam. He has resided in the Santa Rosa area for the last 36 years working in the Concrete industry for that time and was currently employed at Sebastopol '
