"A Call for a Convention: Socialists Propose to Meet and Name State Ticket"

Convention call for the first state convention of the Socialist Party of Oregon, to be held March 19, 1902 in Portland to nominate a statewide slate for the June 2 general election, including a candidate for Congress. A second mass convention was called for March 20 in Oregon city to nominate a candidate for Congress in the 2nd District. The date of March 5, 1902 was named for county Socialist Party units to hold additional nominating conventions for countywide office.
