Ellen McAndrews Hogan obituary
With the thermometer hovering about the zero mark this morning, the people of Pittston and vicinity turned out in large numbers to pay their final respects to memory of three well known - residents, whose bodies - were consigned to their final resting place. The funeral of Mrs. Ellen Hogan, was held from the home of her son, Theodore Hogan. 288 South Main street and many people of this city and Avocu were in attendance. A solemn high mass of requiem was sung over the body in St. John s churcn at :jo o'clock. The officers of the mass were: Rev. M. E. Loft us, celebrant; Rev. H. J. Ruddy, deacon; Rev. James Mcllugh. sub - deacon Interment was in St. John's cemetery. The pall - bearers bearers bearers were - William J. Killgallen. Martin J. Healey, Plains; Thomas Madden. William Mcllugh, James Kennedy and Harry Gallagher.
