DEATHS r y Charles Eveler Dies Unexpectedly Charles J. Eveler, 62 years old, veteran chef and cook and member of one of Cole County's old families, died unexpectedly at his home, 714 Monroe street, Saturday morning. Eveler had not complained appeared to be in good -health when his wife left for church eailier in the morning. About hour later Mrs. Lena Duncan who lives on the second floor ;he dwelling, heard a fall. She went to investigate and found him, A cerebral caused his death. hemorrhage He was born in Wardsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eveler, and grew to manhood there. Coming to the city he was employed by the late Ed W. Creedon and soon became chief Cook of the Madison street restaurant. Later he worked for W. Smith. He suffered from diabetes Cor many years and underwent operations which resulted in amputation of his legs. He is survived by his wile, Katharine Heinrichs Eveler to whom he was married Sept. 1910. and one son, Joseph Eveler, of this city. There are four sisters, Mrs. Ann Bruemmer, Wardsville, Mrs. Sophia Hager, Mrs Ben Feind and Mrs. Ben Markway all of this city. He was a member of St. Peters Church and of t h e ; Benevolent Society .of that parish.
