2 -THIDAHY NIWS, Obituaries Margaret Croyle Mrs; Margaret Rebecca Croyle, 71, of Petersburg, died unexpectedly at 2 p.m. Monday, October 11, 1976 at her itonte. A native of Petersburg, she was born July 28, IMS to Uimer and Rachel (Whetstine) (Whetstine) Edmiston. On October 21, 1928, she was married to Hiram Jacob Croyle at the .Methodist parsonage in Huntingdon Huntingdon by the Rev. Allen C. Shue. Surviving are her widower and two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Lillian) HoUck, Petersburg and Mrs. James (Prances) Schirm, State College. Two sons preceded In death in infancy. There are two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Clark (Dora) Harshbarger, Harshbarger, Mapleton. Two brothers and five sisters are deceased. Mrs. Croyle was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Petersburg. 'She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary to the Petersburg Fire Company. She had resided in Petersburg Petersburg her entire life. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, from the Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul A. Jones, will officiate and burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg. Friends will be received at the Grove funeral home in Alexandria from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, and at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time for services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Zion Lutheran Church.
