"Jewish King Lear" to be Presented by New Drama Group Here, Sunday Lovers of the Yiddish drama are in for a treat this Sunday evening, October 13, when the United Drama Group will present a four act play by Jacob Gordon called "The Jewish King Lear," at Jefferson hall, 2617 W. Fond du Lac avenue. The community is cordially invited. Director and star of the production is Samuel Goldberg of Chicago and members of the cast include Rachel Cohen, Ethel Levant, Rose Ugent, Esther Habush, Ben Trosch, Jacob Ugent, Joseph Lang-erman and Joseph Sterling. During the intermission a short talk will be given by B. C. Tous-man, editor of the Chronicle. The United Drama Group was organized six months ago by Joseph Ugent. In addition to presenting worthwhile productions, its purpose is to assist charitable groups in fund raising projects. Organizations interested in raising funds through this method are ! urged to contact Mr. Ugent at Con- I cord 5638. I Sunday evening's performance ; will be for the benefit of the Milwaukee Jewish Convalescent Home, a women's organization which seeks to promote the building of such a home in this city. A men's group is in the process of being organized.
