Car Shears A 16-year-old youth was killed and two 17-year-oId passengers passengers were injured severely ■yesterday afternoon in a one- car crash at 48th and N. Ben- niiigtoii. Gary A. Gasterino, 16, of 5009 Norledge, died of head injuries. Police said Gasteriiio was trapped inside his car and firemen cut thi’ough the car doors to free him. Two passengers, Steve Clark, 17, of 5223 Gladstone Boulevard, and Kent Slocum, 17, of 304 S. Chelsea, also were taken to North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. A hospital spokesman said Clark was in serious condition last night with injuries to his head, back, pelvis and right arm. Slocum was treated at the hospital for bruises and rib injui'ies. Police said the car, west bound on 48th, went out of control as it crested a hill, traveled in the air 80 feet landed in the center of the road and then traveled another another 380 feet swerving side-to- side before shearing off a utility pole. The car came to rest 43 feet from the pole in the intersection of 48th and Bennington, police said.
