{TWO DWI TRIALS ] SET; ANOTHER GETS | JAIL TERM. FINE Trial of Gussie May Dibrell, 57- year-old negro cook, on a charge of driving while intoxicated has been set for January 4 in county court by Judge John A. Hancher. The woman was arrested and charged by Chief of Police W. E. Shaw at Eagle Lake and was released on $300 bond arranged arranged by her employer, Mrs. R. G. Cagle of Houston. Arrested at the same time in the truck .which the woman was 'driving was J. B. Cagle, who was fined in justice court on a charge of being drunk. Judge Hancher has set for retrial the DWI case of Calvin Morgan Bradley who was convicted August 19 and his punishment fixed at a fine of $50 and three days in jail. Judge Hancher granted a new trial August 22. Emil Peters (erroneously listed as John Peters in last week's Mercury) Mercury) was fined $60 and sentenced to serve ten days in jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated last week by Judge Hancher. Mr. Peters was charged by Highway Patrolman D. L. Wilson after a collision in Weimar.
