Forester Named as Fire Season Nean With the opening of the summer fire season only two days away the county board of forestry has appointed appointed Lee Pierce, former forestry patrolman In Lone Pine canyon, as assistant to George Park, acting county forester. Mr. Park has been working without without an assistant since he took over the county forestry work following the resignation of Roy M. Tuttle, former county forester. As yet the forestry board has not named a successor to Mr. Tuttle. The Little mountain lookout sta tion will open on May 13 and will be in charge of Milton Jackson. The warm weather of the past few days has dried out the brush and doubled the danger "f ir-'nvs ir-'nvs ir-'nvs brush and forest fires, Mr. Park said yesterday.
