List Missing Accident Victim Presumed Dead BIG RAPIDS (UPI) — Police have listed a 40-year Reed City woman as missing and presumed presumed dead after her car crashed through a guard rail and plunged into the rain- swollen Muskegon River. Police also said the search for the woman, Mary Johnson, was hampered by rain and the swift current of the river. A car registered to Mrs. Johnson was pulled from the river Tuesday after more than two hours effort by police and volunteers, but there was nobody inside. Police helicopters and divers carried out a day-long search but failed to find any trace of the driver. Mrs. Johnson's family said she was missing and police said she apparently was driving the car. Police said the car apparently apparently was speeding when it went out of control and crashed through the guard rail before plunging about 35 feet into the river.
