Bertha Loman Of Whittington Dies At Age 74 Mrs. Bertha E. Loman, 74, of Whittington, died at 3:40 p. m. Monday. She had been ill for a week with pneumonia. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p. m. at the Res cue church northeast of Whittinp,- ton. The Rev. Tracy Dees will officiate and burial will be in Kirk cemetery north of Ina. The body will remain at the family home west of Whittington, where friends may call after 6:00 p. m. today. Mrs. Loman was the daughter of James M. and Sophronia Kirk. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist church. Her husband, Art Loman, preceded preceded her in death May 11, 1953. .Surviving are three daughters, Florida Fitzjerrell of Sesser, Margaret Margaret Meister of Whittington and Fronia Burton of Lake Bluff, 111.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Robert and Leo Kirk of East St. Louis; Louis; two sisters, OUie Pearson of Union, Mo., and Fronia Burton of Whittington; and seven stepchildren, stepchildren, Mrs. Myrtle Day, Mrs. Fern Lance, Mrs. Leotn Roberts, Mrs. Mamie Kirkpatrick, and Lloyd, Lee and Artie Loman.
