Giles, so longand favorably known in Aiken County, and for many years secretary of the Graniteville Mf£. Cn. Sant'l Giles was horn in Abbeville County in January, 184S. He name to Grauiteville in 1868, connected trim- self with the Graniteville 31 fg. Co., which be served in various positions. At the death of his father he succeeded succeeded to the office of secretary. After serving satisfactorily in this important important position for several years, he resigned resigned that he might engage in ugri- eultural pursuits, which had been the dream of his life.
