The victims were Ossie McCain, 31, and her son Carlis, 3. Mrs. McCain's husband, William, 31, was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. McCain told police his wife was driving when the engine stalled. Weiss, 60, South Bend, died in the crash. David A. Baker, 4, son of Jeralee Baker, Rt. 1, Fremont, died in an Angola hospital Monday of injuries suffered Oct. 17 in a one-car crash on Indiana 827 about 2 miles south of Fremont.
