Members were informed from (he international office that the chapter was given three star rating on the stick. A thank you letle,r was re ceived from Mrs. Carol Men diola in appreciation for the chapter's gift that she received on the grand opening of the new yarn shop. Reports were given by Mrs Dale Jackson on the old-fashioned family picnic held in June and by Mrs. Harold son, who reported oh the waiian luau that was hosted by Xi Alpha Delta Chapter July. Mrs. Aaron Salisbury gave a detailed report on the food booth at the Owyhee County Fair. New business discusser) was the annual Christmas formal dance sponsored by the combined three chapters. Alpha Phi will be in charge of obtaining a hall and the hall decorations; Alpha Omega in charge of the invitations and the orchestra and Xi A I|)ha Delta arranging the table decorations and the re (reshments. The attending members also approved the combining of :he chapters in holding theii Christmas auction. The dates of the regular emi-monthly meetings were changed to the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from the' usual first and third Fridays. School ac- :ivities which would be al- ended by many of the members prompted "the change in he meeting dates. The cultural program was i- presented by Mrs. Duane Ash on oratory. This included the reading of the Lincoln's Gel- :ysburg Address and passages "rom the Bible. Refreshments were served Jj 1 Mrs. Ben Uda assisted by Mrs. Arima.
