Mrs. Mabel Robichaux Installed Worthy Matron of Brookshire Chapter, O.E.S. On Monday evening. June 1, the new officers of Brookshire Chapter No. 652, Order of the Eastern Star, were installed at the Brookshire School Cafeteria. The backdrop included folding screens decorated with greenery and the words of the theme for the year, "Service to God and Our Fellowmen," printed in silver on pink ribbon. Arrangements of pink roses and single carnations, representing the rays of the "Star," completed the decorations! The program included the presentation of the Bible by Helen Robichaux; solos, "My Task" and "The Lord's Pray- er," by Eileen Robichaux; a duet, "Whispering Hope," by Eileen and Helen; addresses by the Worthy Matron and Patron; and closing remarks by Rev. J. M. Hays. Mrs. Ramona Bains was the accompanist for the special music. tyrs. Myrtle Ballard, a Past Matron, was the Installing '. Officer. The officers installed were: Mrs. Mabel Robichaux, Worthy Matron; Arthur Robichaux, Worthy Patron; Mrs. Madge Helwig, Associate Matron; Ed Helwig, Associate Patron; Mrs. Vivian Larsen, Secretary; Mrs. Lenora Hoyt, Treasurer;. Mrs. Mrs. Louise Blanton, Conductress; Mrs. Emma Schwartz, Associate Conductress; Mrs. Jessie Peek, Chaplain; Mrs. Eloise Smith, Marshall; Mrs. Barbara Girndt, the blue ray of Adah; Mrs. Lottie Bradley, the yellow ray of Ruth; Mrs. Mary Belle Woods, the white ray of, Esther; Mrs. Bette Youngblood, the red ray of Electa; Mrs. Valerie Groce, Warder; and Louis Young, Sentinel. Other officers for the year who could not be present are Mrs. Ruth Williams, Organist; and Mrs. Joyce Wilson, the green ray of Martha. The Worthy Matron's and her sister officers' dresses were of pink lace in floor length, with corsages of white carnations trimmed with green. Other corsages and boutonnieres were of white carnations. After the installation ceremony, refreshments of lime shurbet punch, cake squares topped with a pink rosebud, and nuts were served to the members and guests.
