MayoLong,Veteran Of "1918, Dies at 56 Mayo Long, 56, of 1S33 Park avenue, an employe of Alton Box Board Co., and a veteran of World War I, died at 8 a. m. today tn Veteran's Hospital, Jefferson Barracks, Barracks, Mo., where he had been a patient since June 28. Long was born at Chesterfield, a son of Grant Longhand the late Mrs. Long. Surviving ere his widow, Mrs. Reba Long; five daughters, Mrs. T. E. Johnson, Mrs, James L. Allen, Allen, and Mrs. Edgar Lewis, of Alton! Mrs. Myron Nixon, Chesterfield, Chesterfield, and Mrs. Charles Williams of East Alton; five sisters, Mrs, Jerome Jerome Long, Brighton; Mrs. Gus Ring, Birmingham, Mich., Mrs. Guy Fite, Chicago; Mrs. John Welch, Plainview, and Mrs'!' Paul Rands, Alton; four brothers, Dean, St. Louis, Mo., Olin, Godfrey, and Samuel and Wilbur of Alton; his father, Grant Long, of Alton, and four grandchildren.
