Union Scraps. Oliver Johnson's are haulinsr lumber for their new residence. Farmers in Union have begun listing corn. V. O. Bowersox visited across the river Sunday. There seems to be some attraction over there. Mrs. M. Mercer's father and mother from Iowa are here on a visit. I). A. Bowen wife and sons visited at O. Johnson's Sunday. There will be preaching at Union Valley school house Sunday May 10 both morning and evening. Although the people of the community have been disappointed twice come again. Lee Bowersox spent Saturday night and Sunday with his uncle in Belleville twp. The farmers of Union are patiently waiting for the telephone. It will be put up as soon as the poles eom°. Miss Jessie Stockdick did not leave for Texas with her brother as was expected. She will remain in Union another year. Miss Lulu Mercer came home from Belleville Sunday evening for an extended visit with home folks. She was also making calls in south-Union that evening.
