Former Emporian Dead News has been received in Emporia Emporia of the death March 10 of Mrs Cornelia Casad Moss, of Santa Barbara, Barbara, Calif., a one-time resident of Emporia. Mrs. MOFS died at her home after an extended sickness Funeral services and buripj were held in Sanca Barbara. Mrs. Moss was born September 29, 1851, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Casad. Srie married married Charles Moss and they moved to Lyon county where they were both on the district school board. Mrs. Moss received her A. B. degree degree at Emporia State in 1912 and taught American history and was assistant in the library of the college. When Mr. Moss, who had been superintendent of the buildings buildings and grounds at Emporia State, died in 1914, his wife was appointed to take his place. Mrs. Moss moved to California in 1918. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence E. Fox. and Miss Ethel M. Moss, of Santa Barbara: two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Ellsworth Hartley and Mrs. Archie Bates, two brothers, Roland C. Casad and Earl P. Casad. and one granddaughter.
