La Munyon's sermon text was "O Lord, Revive thy Work" Hab. 3:2. His timely message included several ways to make a revival effective. Be regular and prompt in attendance. Desire to be revived. Be in one accord, accept the burden God gives, and tarry in prayer. God will surely save the lost. After the pastor made a few remarks concerning the sacrifice of Jesus, the Communion Service was held. Sunday evening the revival began. A duet "I Know He'll Take Me Through" was rendered by Lela Kathryn and Naomi Busch. Sis. Ramona Kerr illustrated a song, "Alone in the Garden" with a beautiful Felto-Graph picture shown under colored lighting. This was very touching along with the singing Brookshire Methodist Rev. Larry Stokes One of the biggest steps toward building the new Methodist Church in Brookshire was taken Wednesday night at the Special Quarterly Conference which named the Building Committee to take charge of the construction of the new building. Dr. Stewart Clendenin, Houston West District Superintendent, conducted the special session of the governing conference of the local Church.
