JohnS. Scoggins DICKINSON-Funeral services for John S. Scogglns, of 1016 Pine Dr., will be held at 4 p.m. today at Jack Rowe Funeral Home, the Rev. Norman Diehl of First Baptist Church of Dickinson officiating. officiating. Burial will follow, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, under direction of Jack Rowe Funeral Home. Mr. Scoggins died Thursday at Manor Care Nursing home in Texas City, following a lengthy illness. He was 76. Born July 12, 1902 in Barry, Texas, Mr. Scoggins was a retired attorney. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Galveston, the Galveston County Bar Association and the Texas State Bar Association. He was a former longtime Galveston resident, active in tennis circles, and a Dickinson resident for 21 years. Mr. Scoggins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lu Cille Scoggins of Dickinson and a daughter, Tracy Scoggins of New York City.
