John E. Peck found dead in bed
JOHN E. FECK WAS FOUND DEAD IK BED THIS MORNING His Wife Went to Arouse Him and Found He Had Succumbed to Heart Trouble. WAS AT CHURCH TWICE YESTERDAY After getting up at S o'clock this morning and making his usual tires, John E. reek,' of 1422 North Third street, returned to his bed, saying he did not feel well, but that he should be called in a fevr hours. Sirs. Peck went to awaken her husband about 7 o'clock, but received no response to her calling, and on entering the room found that her husband was dead. Dr. II. B. Walter was called and said that Mr. Fevk succumbed to heart trouble and that he had been dead but a few minutes. - ............ He seemed to be in the best of health, having attended communion and a Jove feast at the "Kidge' Avenue "Methodist church yesterday morning, and returning again to the church inutile evening to hear the sermon. ' Mr. Peck has been a shoemaker in this city for over thirty years, coming to this city from Huui-melstown. where the body will be taken on Thursday. The funeral services, -will be conducted by Rev. Horace Lincoln Jacobs, of the Kidge Aveuue Methodist church, of which the deceased was a trustee.
