Stockdick were held in the Katy Apostolic Faith Church on Tuesday afternoon, March 10, at 2 o'clock with entombment entombment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery. Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Girouard oreached the sermon for the funeral services. Death came to Mr. Stock- lick at his home in Katy at 10:10 o'clock Sunday night, March 8, 1959. He had been seriously ill and bedridden for nearly 10 years. He was 80 /ears old on his birthday, January January 1. He was born in Missouri, Missouri, January 1,1879 and was the son of Adam and Elmira Stockdick. He came to Katy in 1896 and was one of the pioneers pioneers of rice farming in this area and had considerable interests interests in oil and gas leasing. He married Kittle V. McGinnis McGinnis on January 1, 1916. He was an active member of the Katy Apostolic Church. Survivors include his widow, widow, Mrs. Kittie Stockdick, one brother, Elmer Stockdick, one sister, Mrs. Jessie Tucker and a number of nieces and nephews besides numerous other relatives and friends. Four brothers proceeded him in death, one as an infant, one 5 years old who died shortly after the family moved to Katy, Katy, and more recently, Chester Chester Stockdick in Katy, and Ed ward Stockdick, who died in Sidney, Nebraska. Pallbearers were Melvin Scott, Arthur Robichaux, Albert Albert Thompson, W. C. Stock- dick, Jr., Ward Stanberry, Lester Williams, Raymond Barker and W. D. Bains, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Carey Pitts, Joe Smith, Rev. Jim Seber , Clarence Peck, Fred Peck, R. Robertson, W. E. Freeman and Geo. Herron.
