Col. B. Peyton says he believes the smokeless powder being made at the Powder works here will be placel aboard the new cruisers now being built East. Never in the history of the Powder Works has there been so much black powder manufactured as during the present year. The average has been about 25,000 kegs a month. At present, owing to the supply on hand, the average monthly output is now about 15,000 kegs. The daily output of smokeless powder is 7,000 pounds.
