Mrs. Barbara Conkle, the mother of Mrs. A. F, Brown, died early last Saturday morning. She had made her home with her daughter since she came to Kansas several years aco. About ten days before her death she was taken ill with a fever, attended by violent diarrhea. To this attack a constitution already feeble speedily succumbed and she passed away In the early hour of Saturday, the 23d hist. The remains were buried the evening of the same day, the services being conducted by Rev. E. J. Brown, pastor of the Presbyterian church, assirted by the pastor of the Methodist church. Mrs. Conkle was a Christian and a communicant of the Presbyterian chiirch. She died in the Lord and in the 62d year' of her age. She leaves two daughters, one here and one in Ohio, to mourn a mother's death.
