He had resided in Ottawa for over 25 years. i For a number of years he was employed by the Imperial Oil Company here, but retired from active work about five year? ago i Mr. Tierney was a devout attendant of St. Mary's Church for many years and was a member of the Catholic Order of Forester and of the Holy Name Society. About 39 , years ago he married Miss Catherine Brophy, . who predeceased him in 1919. He is n -vived by three daughters', children of his first marriage. Sister Catherine of Sienna, of the Grey Nuns of the Immaculate Conception, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.. Mrs. Michael McKennlrey. of Ottawa, and Mrs. Bernard McGillis. of Harrison. Ont.; one sister, Mrs. Patrick Madden, of Ottawa, and by his widow. He' was well known here and his death will be mourned by a wide circle of friends.
