Woman's Death Ruled Suicide A coroner's jury Tuesday night ruled the February 9 death of Mrs. Emma B. Nivens a suicide, according to Coroner W. J. McLean. McLean. Mrs. Nivens died about 10:30 in the morning .almost immediately immediately after a .32 caliber bullet had entered her head just behind behind the right ear. Detective E. H. Groves and Captain Loge Armstrong said they found the-weapon, a pencil, and a piece of yellow paper in bed with Mrs. Nivens when they arrived at the scene at the York road home. She was taken to Gaston Memorial Memorial Hospital following the shooting. Mrs. Nivens was the wife of Fred Nivens, a sausage business operator. The jury was composed of Harry Camp, Dave Wright, Joe Huffstetler, Norman Young, Wilson Wilson Craig, and A. E. Galloway.
