a BARBER KILLS MATE, SELF (Continued from Page One) volver shot, according to police. When the Widmers failed to call for the bay at the Stiles home by Sunday night the relatives became alarmed. Telephone calls brought no response. Sunday midnight members of the Stiles family went to the 18th st. home and forced the doors. They found the two bodies in the bedroom. Coroner Investigates Coroner T. O. McQuate announced after an examination that the couple had been dead about 20 hours, thus establishing the hour of the shooting between 3 and 4 a. m. Sunday. He returned a verdict of murder and suicide. When the son was questioned by police early today he said he had heard the quarrel. Just before Widmer entered the room -where he had been put to bed he heard a shot fired, he told police. Then Widmer came to him and told. him that he should go to the Stiles home, but cautioned him not to tell anyone that he had heard the shot. AVidmer, the boy related, refused (o let him go into the room where his mother was. The couple had been man-led several years. Widmer for a time operated a barbership on 12th st., NE, and later sold his shop and entered the employ of another barber on the same street. He had not been employed for several months. Mrs.Wldmer, whose home wns formerly In Wheeling, W. Vo... was employed in a downtown store until recently.
