18 ARRESTED IN RAID ON DICE GAME 16 Fined as Disorderly; Hearing Set for 2 Others Eighteen persons were arrested in a police raid on a dice game at the home of Barbara Ward. 166 North Warren street, at 1:30 a. m. Sunday. All but two were charged with disorderly conduct and released after pleading guilty and paying fines of $21.50 before Justice of the Peace Merritt Wien. The two, Miss Ward and Paul Hudson, 38 Custer court, Penn Village, will receive hearings at 4:30 p. m. today. Miss Ward is charged with selling liquor without a license, j Hudson was charged with setting up gambling at the home. Each was released in $500 bail Sunday. • • • THE RAID was conducted by Police Chief Harold E. Hahn with Montgomery County Detectives Edward Cyrus and Wayne Koffel. They were assisted by local Detective D. Robert Scheidt. Sgt. Michael Shanta and Motor Patrolman Lorin Leuthold. Those who pleaded guilty to the disorderly conduct charges were: Oscar Johnson, 45 Hemlock row; Matthew Massey, Penn Village; Willie Day, 845 Water street; Harvey Harris, Wally Harris and Billy Graham, all of 719 Lincoln avenue, and Ernest Williams Jr., 517 Glasgow street, Stowe.
