his parents in 1873. ' After working about the mines for a few years, he engaged in the hptel business and for many years had conducted the Riverside hotel, on Carey avenue, Wilkesbarre. He was a member of the or der of Eagles and of the German Young Men's Benevolent association. He is survived by one son, Conrad, aged 20 years, and the following brothers and sisters: Frederick, Henry, Gottleib and Matthew, of Wilkesbarre: Edward, of Fall River, Mass.; Lewis, of Exeter borough; Mr Robert Smallcomb, of West Pittston; Mrs. C. H. Hesser, of Xanticoke, and Mrs. P. C. Schneider, of Wilkesbarre. The funeral will take place Monday morn -
