OBITUARY. Kllcn Jacobs. Ellen H. Jacobs, daughter of Henry Jacobs, passed away this morning at 2 o'clock at the family home, on Tunkhannock avenue, following a lengthy illness. Death was due to Bright's disease. Deceased had been in failing health for several years, the source of which was an attack of scarlet fever which she suffered about 11 years ago. Following her convalescence from scarlet fever. Miss Jacobs was stricken with chicke pox, which has been followed by other minor ailments until the final illness, Bright' s disease, proved fatal. Ellen H. Jacobs was born on Sept. 19, 1892. She attended the Exeter borough schools for several years, later going to the West Pittston schools. Owing - to the poor condition of her health she was unable to continueo - vith her studies and two years ago ceased attending S( hool. Recently she, spent several weeks at Wildwood, where it was thought the change would prove beneficial but upon her return she continued to get worse, despite all that loving care and treatment could do, and this morning the end came. Miss Jacobs was of a bright and cheery disposition and the loss of her presence will be keenly felt by a large circle of friends. Resides her father, she is survived by her step - mother and the following brothers: Conrad, John, William and Charles. . The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with interment in West Pittston cemetery.
