Mason's Ex-May or Dead. 'Squire Robert H. Bennett, of Mason, a man very well known in Butler coun ty, died at bU late home on Monday morning, morning, from a complication of stomach and pulmonary troubles, after an illness of comparatively short duration. The deceased was one of the best liked men in bis neighborhood, being known far and wide for his many charitable deeds, which gained for him a circle of friends that any one would be proud to possess. He was one of the pioneer merchants merchants of that place, and retired in 1863, giving his business over to his son J. C, Bennett, who still succeeds him. At different times the deceased was notary public, justice of the peace, mayor mayor of the village, and an officer in most all of the organizations around his village. village. He was 73 years old. The funeral will occur from his late home on Wednesday, at 1 p. m.
