at new third Rites for J. I. Stene Big Timber -- Funeral services for John I. Stene, 51, who died a Livingston hospital following brief illness, were conducted in the Big Timber Lutheran church by the Rev. E. W. Wilson of American Lutheran church of Livingston, assisted by the local pastor, the Rev. E. E. Tollefson. Pallbearers were Ole Fallon of Wilsall, Mike Hoyem, Albert Rostad, I. Brendsel, Nils Peterson and Sivert Vivek. Mr. Stene born Oct. 1, 1893, in Byneset, Norway, and came to this country country in 1911. On Oct. 6, 1916, he married Lena Granaggan in Livingston. They have lived on various ranches throughout this county, and recently moved to ranch near Clyde Park in the Shields river valley. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Ruth Stene and Mrs. Buelah of Great Falls, an-" a son, Ingar, who was associated with his father in the ranching business.
