Ex-Resident Honored on 90th Birthday RING8TED — Mrs. Mftrle Btran- dskov celebrated her 90th birthday Sunday at the Danish Old People's Home In Des Moines. All of her 10 living children attended church services Sunday at the Grandvlew Lutheran Memorial Church and attended a family dinner in tha church hall. Mrs. Strandskov is the mother of 11 children, one deceased; grandmother of 86, and great grandmother of 49. Her children present fo> the observance were Mr. and Mrs. Cfcrl Christiansen of Tyler, Minn., Mri. Paul Christiansen of Solvent;, Calif., Uie Rev. and Mrs. Holftr Stran­ dskov of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Hcrluf Stransdkov of Chicago, Carl Strandskov of Normal, 111., Frode Strandskov, Newark, It. J., Mr and Mrs. Chris Jespersen of Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jessen and Mr. and Mrs. Carson Collins of Des Moines and Mr, and Mrs. August Sorensen of Ringsted. Mr. Strandskov's other son, Thorvald, died last summer. However his widow, Mrs. Thorvald Stran­ dskov of Audubon, attended the bithday celebration. Others from this area attending were Mr. and Mrs. Roland F-i- gre and family of Estherville anc' Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sorensen and daughter.* Mrs. Strandskov is a former Ringsted resident. Her late husband, the Rev. Nels C. Strandskov was pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in the 1920s, and many of the Strandskov children are well known in Ringsted, in addition to Mrs. Sorensen who lives here. MM. Strandskov also made her home with the Sorensens' for several years.
