before historic well large, "We been through times and talk Activation of Hew Guard Company Set for Oct. 20 Activation of company L of 63rd infantry of the Montana ional guard In Roundup Oct. will complete the roster of for Montana, Adj. Gen. S. Mitchell, chief of the guard, Saturday. Montana will then have 30 ground and four air units, including those in Helena, where the guard has its state headquarters. All air units are in Great Falls, commanded by Lt. Col. Floyd Robberson, but ground units are distributed throughout the state. annual encampment is held In Helena each year at Fort Harrison. Col. R. M. Salzman, Inspector for the officers reserve corps in Helena, will inspect the new as a representative of the federal government. Also at the activation will be General Mitchell, Col. B. Floyd of Helena, senior Instructor for national guard; Capt. Robert Keyes of Helena, assistant adjutant general, and Lt. CoL W. F. Benson of Billings, commander of the third battalion, which company L will be a General Mitchell said he "was pleased with the rapidity with which the guard units have activated, since this has been accomplished in three years. We now have 1,800 officers and approximately 50 per cent of strength."
