Funeral services are 1:30 today (Monday) . at Immanuel Lutheran Church ««r ArnoM Lee Strandskov, 20, who died about 11:30 Thursday Thursday evening after he received a head wound in the junction collision. He died at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs where he was taken by ambulance. COLLIDED HEAD-ON Strandskov was a passenger on a motorcycle motorcycle driven by a friend, Karol Dean (Rusty) lames 22, Harlan, when it collided head-on with a car. The car, driven by Mrs Betty Marie Rohdes, 36, Hawarden, was going soyfe on Highway 64, making a left turn to the east U left five feet of skid marks. The motorcycle was going north on Highway 64. It left no skid marks. Strandskov was thrown about 18 feet and apparently struck his head on the pavement. James, a member of the Harlan Police Dept, was bruised and cut but otherwise not senous- | ly injured. Neither Hrs Rohdes or her (daughter Karen Lee were hurt. CHARGES PENDING Sheriff Orrell Gearhart said charges against Mrs Rohdes were pending. The motorcycle, a Brldgestone, was owned fey Strandskov and had been purchased 'only"a few~weefi a'go. It was extensively damaged. There was front end damage to the Rohdes car, a 1960 Chevrolet. Mrs Hohdes in Harlan visiting relatives. Immanuel Lutheran, the church where funeral services will be held, was the scene of Strandskov's marriage to Bonnie Miles of Harlan on Sept. 3, 1965, The young couple lived in the Maplecrest Apartments on Durant Street. He operated a milk route for the Avoca Avoca Creamery. TWO-STATE SEARCH The accident prompted a two-state search for Strandskov's in-laws, Mr and Mrs Dean Miles of Harlan, who left Monday for a vacation trip to the Black Hills. Radio stations in the Yankton, S.D., area were broadcasting calls for the Miles family and Highway Patrolmen Patrolmen were looking for them. Pastor Oscar E. Johnson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Kimballton. Strand- skov was a 1964 Elk Horn High graduate. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs Thorvald (Erna) Strandskov of Kimballton, and five sisters, Mrs John Mrs Marvin Pedersen and Mrs George Petersen Petersen all of Harlan, and Mrs Dean Hitsman, Woodward, and Barbara Strandskov of Kimballton.
