The New York Herald says it is rumored that the Grand Trunk Railway Company have been quietly baying up th Harlem stock, at the present low prices, with a view to build th Lebanon Springs Road from Chatham Four Corners to Bennington, a distance of fifty-two fifty-two fifty-two miles, which is partly graded ; thus by eon-trolling eon-trolling eon-trolling the Harlem Railroad, the Grand Trunk Railway Company weald be enabled to eeeure to themselves a direct line from Montreal, Canada, Canada, to the city of New York, over the Harlem Railroad. Such a movement wonld probably be a profitable enterprise for the Oisst Trunk Railway Company, in th present low condition condition of Harlem stock. There is no doubt bat it wonld be exceedingly beneficial to the interests interests af th stockholders o tbe Harlem Company. Company.
