Canal street and he thought that his watch was taken while he was in the saloon. AVOCA. A sad accident occurred Monday afternoon afternoon which caused the death of Eugene, the 5 - year - old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hannon. He, with several several of his companions, were playing on a pile of timber at the Erie saw mill, in the West Avoca woods, when one of tho timbers rolled over and crushed the little fellow beneafh its heavy weight. When extricated he was in an unconscious condition nd remained so until death, which followed followed a few hours later. Funeral will occur today at 8 p. m. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
