of near the member married wedding whom AGED CHARLESTON MAN DIED IN CAPE HOSPITAL John C. Faris of Charleston, father of George M. Faris of Sikeston, died Sunday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, where he had been since April 15, when he sustained a broken hip in a fall while visiting at the home of his son here. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church of Charleston, with Rev. A. B. Cooper, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Charleston. Mr. Faris, who was aged 72 years, was born on July 7, 1864. at Wolf Island, and spent his entire life in this section, where was engaged in farming. For past 27 years, he lived in retirement at Charleston. He was a member of the Baptist church. Besides his son here, Mr. Faris is survived by his widow, Mrs. Faris, and a daughter, Miss Faris, both of Charleston. Four brothers and one granddaughter also survive.
