Merwin Freeman Merwin "Murph" Freeman, 51, of 152 Sitgreaves St, Phillipsburg, an Army veteran of the Korean War, died Sunday in the East Orange Veterans Hospital He was last employed at the Pub bar and restaurant, Phillipsburg. Before that, he was a janitor at Phillipsburg High school and an orderly at Warren Hospital Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Harold and Mary (Kase) Freeman. He was a member of Greenwich Presbyterian Church. Surviving are three brothers, Harold of Easton, and William and Joseph, both of Warren Glen, N.J., and tour sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Cook and Mrs. Marie Smith, both of Bethlehem, Elizabeth, with whom he lived, and Mrs. Lillian Gaines of Easton. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. . Wednesday (today) in the Doyle Funeral Home, 535 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will precede the services.
