following Feb. years Richard River, m. following had to 21. of in MIS. John E. Boettcher Former Janesville resident, Mrs. John E. Boettcher., Madison, died at 10:40 p. m. Wednesday in St Mary's hospital, Madison, after after a brief illness. The former Mary Ellen Higgins, Higgins, daughter of David and Jane Johnston Higgins, was born in Browndale, Moore county, Minn. She was married in Janesville to John E. Boettcher June 20, 1899., The couple moved to Madison in I 1914. Mr. Boettcher died in 1935.' Mrs. Boettcher was a member of Royal Neighbors camp 4084. Janesville; Monona chapter No. 5, Order of Eastern Star; the Madi son Woman's club and other Madison organizations. Surviving arc two sisters, Mrs. Anna Davis and Mrs. James Pennvcook, three nephews and one niece, all of Janesville. Services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Saturday in the Overton funeral home, the Rev. Sidney J. Francis, First P r e s b y t c r ian church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday Friday evening. Louis C. Rehm
