at Robert Meeker Dies on Sunday Robert L. Meeker, 50, 915 Grand Ave., died Sunday afternoon afternoon at Gushing Memorial Hospital Hospital where he had been a patient patient since Tuesday. Mr. Meeker Meeker had been in failing health the past five months. He was born May 5, 1913 at Leavenworth, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meeker. He attended attended Leavenworth public schools. He worked at the DeCoursey DeCoursey Creamery and later went to Ft. Leavenworth as a fireman, subsequently transferring transferring to the maintenance department. department. He was a veteran ,of World War H. At Richmond, Mo., May 25, 1938 he was married married to Miss Helen O'Leary. They celebrated their 25th wedding wedding anniversary May 25. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a member and past president of Eagles Lodge, Aerie 55, and a member of the American Legion. Legion. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Meeker of the home; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Barren, Valle Jo, Calif., and one brother, brother, William H. Meeker, U. S. Army, Ft. Eustis, Va.; .three nieces and two nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Harold S. Strickland, .rector, .rector, will officiate. Burial with graveside service conducted by members of the Eagles Lodge will be held in Mt. Muncie Cemetery, There will be a 'memoria Eucharist service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 10 a.m Wednesday. The body is at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
