Service Club Plans Auction For May 26 in Grand Detour Articles, large and small, old and new, antique and modern, will be offered at the Service club auction being planned for 1 p. m. Saturday, May 26, in the Grand Detour ball park. Mrs. Harold Green is chairman of the auction. • John Roe of Grand Detour will be the clerk and Harold A. Green of Grand Detour will be the cash- Strawser. Oregon, win be the auctioneer along with Paul Page, Grand Detour. In case of. the auction will be held sun- day. There will be no admittance fee and the public is urged to attend. The club will welcome donations of ' any size. Anyone having articles to be picked up is asked to call Mrs. Green, Grand Detour, 2-H3 o^ Mrs. Mark Keller, Jr., Dixon, 2-2023. The entire proceeds will go to the club's project of buying equipment for the KSB hospital. Another leature or tne aiiernoon will be a sale of baked goods. Palmyra Home Group Hears Miss Pilgrim Palmyra Home Bureau members met at the home of Mrs. Robert Straw recently at which time Mrs. Raymond Lair, chairman. conducted the business meeting.
