M. P. Spoolstra Martin P. Spoolstra, 89, of 1214 Yale Avc., died at Dcacon- ess Hospital Tuesday night, where he had been a patient a day. He had farmed a homestead in the Corinth area tor 20 years belore moving into Billings in 1944, As a volunteer, he spent many hours working for the Billings Billings Rescue Mission. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dahl-Brown Funeral Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Harold E. Tannehill of Signal Mountain Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Mr. Spoolstra was born July 4, 1882, in Chicago, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Spoolstra. He attended Chicago schools. He married Alice Nywening on July 21, 1904, in Kankeekey, 111. They moved to Manhattan, Mont., where he taught school. He had operated a general store at Granger, Wash., before he returned to Montana to homestead. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Imes of Tucson, Ariz.; and four sisters, Margaret, Maude, Ella and Sue Spoolstra, all of Chicago; and four grandchildren.
