Â». a. Marriage To Mr. Denton Jacques To Be In St. U. B. Church Palms, ferns and candlelight form the setting in St. Paul's ed Brethren church tonight, for m a r r i a g e of Miss Amelia Buchanan, daughter of and Mrs. William H. Buchanan, Summit avenue, to Mr. Denton hauser Jacques, the son of Mr. Mrs. Lancelot Jacques, Jr., of Smithsburg. The bride's pastor, the Rev. Dr. F. Berry Plummer, will perform the ceremony at o'clock. Given in marriage by her father, the bride will wear a tight-bodiced gown of white satin, with a heart neckline and bracelet length sleeves. Her fingertip veil of illu- sion net will fall from a pleated crown. She will wear a strand pearls, a gift of the groom, and carry a bouquet of gardenias, rosed and mixed white flowers. Miss Jane Appel, of Chambers- burg, a student at Harcum College, Bryn Mawr. Pa., Â·will .be maid honor, wearing a rose taffeta with sweetheart neckline and rying a bouquet of roses. In her hair will be a garland of small flowers. The bridesmaids will be Miss Leona Jane Brewer, wearing pink taffeta, and Mrs. Frank S. Leiter, Jr., attired in aqua taffeta. Full overskirts of net will fall from fitted bodices, and they will carry mixed bouquets tied with matching- ribbon. Both will wear garlands in their hair. The bride's mother will wear a gown of King's Blue crepe YÂ»-ith sequins, and a corsage of pink camellias. The groom's mother sviil wear a corsage of pink rose- buds with her blue crepe gown. Little Christine Maugans, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Maugans, will be flower girl, ing pink taffeta and carrying a ket filled with rose petals and small flowers. Best man to Mr. Jacques will his brother, Mr. Lancelot Jacques, III. Ushers will be Messrs. Edgar Jacques, Richard Jacques, Harry Dengler and Robert Winders. Wilson P. Sperow, at the pipe gan, will render the wedding and a short recital preceding the ceremony. Reception to Be Held Immediately following the cere- mony a reception for the families of the bride and groom a few relatives and friends will held at the home of the bride. vited out-of-town guests will in- clude: Mr. Edward A. For traveling, the bride will wear a navy birr wool suit with matching accessories. , v Miss Buchanan is ;i graduate of the Hagerstown high school and attended Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Va. She is at present employed in the tabulating department at Fairchild "Aircraft. Mr. Jacques is a graduate of the Smithsburg high school and at- tended the University of Maryland. He is manager of the Nicodemus Orchards in Edgemont, Md. Upon their return the couple be at home at "The Ranch," Edgemont.
