Miss Joyce Dayhoff, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Geiser, of S m i t burg, became the bride of Edgar Jacques, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lan- celot Jacques, Jr.. also of Smiths- burg, Monday afternoon, February 25 at 4 o'clock, in the parsonage j of the St. Paul's Methodist Church, this city, 1 The Rev. I The bride was attired in a white wool suit, with black acces- sories, a small white hat. with ; black trim, and a corsage of red : rosebuds. i Mrs. Demon Jacque*. matron of honor, and sister-in-law of the \ groom, chose a navy blue wool with matching accessories, and a i small navy beret, a corsage of denias completing her outfit. Her husband served as best man. ; Mrs. Jacques was graduated from the Smithsburg High School, afcci the Washington County Hospital; School of Nursing, Class of 1945. Until recently, she was a member of the staff at the local hospital. j The groom was graduated from the Smithsburg High School a n attended the University of Mary-1 laud. Having served with the Medi- cal Corps in the Army overseas. years of which were spent in the European theatre, he recently re- ceived his honorable discharge. Following the ceremony, the couple left for a brief honevmoon.
